I wonder what it would be like to fast in this new environment. The wet weather has not been too wet. The sun is up on top of you by noon. And the heat masya allah is unbearable... My worst fear is giving up... From young I was trained to fast for a month and my first time outside Singapore during Ramadhan can be quite an extraordinary feat. I have to mentally prepare myself and drinks loads of water at noght so I can bear the morning brunt of heat. This time its not the hunger or the vices that keeps me from attaining greater faith but I guess its the heat. Insya allah I will survive... It will be 2 5 days work week and 2 2 days work week and I shall fly back to base.
